VP Partnerships Sales

Position

Talisman is seeking a Vice President of Partnerships to lead and drive the acquisition of regional, pan-regional, and global partners across our diverse portfolio of assets. This individual will be responsible for leading group sales activities in the Americas region, working closely with the Chief Partnerships Officer to achieve ambitious sales targets.

Requirements

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to secure new partnerships, with a specific focus on regional and global opportunities.
  • Identify and develop a robust pipeline of partnership prospects by leveraging a deep understanding of the sports marketing landscape, particularly within the United States.
  • Collaborate with the Global Sales & Consulting team to ensure consistency in messaging, pricing, and sales strategy.
  • Develop creative sales presentations and negotiate partnership agreements that maximize revenue for Talisman and our rights holders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the sports marketing ecosystem, including brands, rights holders, sports marketing agencies, and media companies.
  • Stay informed on asset availability and partner needs to enhance commercial outcomes for rights holders.
  • Provide leadership in the development of the New York-based partnership team, ensuring effective office management and operational efficiency.
  • Work with our creative and design team to develop world-class sales materials and oversee the creation of insight documentation for engaged partners.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial partnership sales within the sports marketing industry (with a focus on the USA, Canada, and LATAM).
  • Prior experience working within a sports marketing agency is essential.
  • Proven track record in representing premium rights holders and securing high-value partnerships.
  • Extensive experience in the sports industry, including strong knowledge of its commercial dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to build lasting partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership abilities.
  • Experience in using CRM systems to manage pipelines and report sales progress.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft & Google Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, etc.).
